Occasionally the Drupal User Group gets the opportunity to have a guest Drupal speaker come and present to us on a topic. I’m excited to announce that Krista Trovato will be joining us for February’s DUG from 11 am to 1 pm. We’ll also be discussing Drupal Camp Pittsburgh as she’s the principle organizer from Pittsburgh’s side. This is a great opportunity to talk to someone from outside our local community that has a lot of experience in and out of Drupal.
Here’s an overview of her background and what she’ll be talking to us about.
Drupal & Security
Security of websites and the data that is hosted and transmitted is one of the most important and most overlooked parts of website development. This Drupal and Security presentation is intended to provide practical information, discuss what the risks are, how to assess risk and protect your Drupal web site. We will introduce the principals of security, threat modeling, discuss the OWASP top 10 and how to ensure your Drupal site meets all the requirements to protect from the most common attacks. Don’t become a victim.
