Drupal Camp 2012

Drupalcamp session voting is now closed. We had 55 responses, 51 people saying they’d attend the site builder day (day 1) and 39 people saying they’d attend the developer day. Site builder day results (things with 20 or more votes): #1 Content management & Workflow (46 of 51) #2 How to build sites more sustainably with Features #3 Accessibility discussion in the context of Drupal #4/5 Taxonomy Based Site Organization & Dissecting a View #6 Managing support and growth of the drupal community #7 Panel discussion on Architectural decision paths (OG, multisite, domain access, etc)

Features / Distribution building are related so distros will be mentioned in site builder. Distributions are also critical to managing the support and growth of our community and will be touched on there as well. Also, Taxonomy based site organization is an form of site architecture so it could be merged into a larger discussion.

Developer day (things with 19 or more) #1 Responsive Theme Development in Drupal (28 of 39) #2 Features based development best practices #3 Drupal 7 API Overview #4 Dev Best Practices Overview #5/6 Dissecting / reverse engineering modules & Where Drupal is heading in D8 and beyond

Drush and module upgrade procedures are both very important developer topics so they’ll be covered as part of the dev best practices (along with Coder module).

For the developer day we’d like to end with a code sprint, the topics of which will be decided on between the events of both days. Current suggestions have been an accessible best practice PSU base theme, a distribution with accessibility and best practices in mind, and a common-good module like PSUpay commerce / ubercart integration.

If you are interested in being considered to present on any of the topics please contact one of the regulars or post to the drupal group on yammer.
